How To Bleed Hydraulic Cylinder On A Tractor?

Bleeding the hydraulic cylinder on a tractor is important for maintaining proper functioning and performance of the hydraulic system. Here’s a step-by-step guide to help you bleed the hydraulic cylinder:

  1. Safety First: Before you begin, ensure the tractor is turned off, the engine is cooled down, and the hydraulic system is depressurized. Also, put on appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) such as gloves and safety glasses.
  2. Locate Bleed Valve: Identify the bleed valve on the hydraulic cylinder. The bleed valve is typically a small screw or valve located on the cylinder body or near the hydraulic connections.
  3. Prepare Collection Container: Place a suitable container beneath the bleed valve to catch any hydraulic fluid that may be released during the bleeding process.
  4. Open Bleed Valve: Using an appropriate wrench or tool, carefully open the bleed valve by turning it counterclockwise. This will allow air and any trapped fluid to escape.
  5. Start the Engine: Start the tractor’s engine and let it run at idle. This action activates the hydraulic pump, allowing fluid to flow through the system.
  6. Operate the Hydraulic Control: Engage the hydraulic control that operates the cylinder you want to bleed. Move the control to the extend or retract position, depending on the desired action. This will help create hydraulic pressure and force any trapped air out of the cylinder.
  7. Observe Fluid Flow: Watch the fluid flow from the bleed valve. Initially, you may see air bubbles, but as the bleeding process continues, the fluid should become consistent and free of air. Allow the fluid to flow for some time to ensure all air is expelled.
  8. Close Bleed Valve: Once the fluid flows smoothly without air bubbles, close the bleed valve by turning it clockwise. Take care not to overtighten it.
  9. Check Hydraulic Fluid Level: Inspect the hydraulic fluid level in the tractor’s reservoir. If necessary, add the recommended hydraulic fluid to maintain the proper level. Refer to the tractor’s manual for the correct type and specifications of hydraulic fluid.
  10. Test Operation: With the hydraulic cylinder bled and fluid level checked, test the tractor’s hydraulic system by operating the control for the cylinder you bled. Observe the cylinder’s performance. It should operate smoothly and provide adequate force.

The machining shop is equipped with a customized inclined rail turning center, machining center, high-speed honing machine, welding robot, and other related equipment, which can handle the processing of cylinder tubes with a maximum inner diameter of 400mm and a maximum length of 6 meters.

With small and medium-sized cylinder automatic water-based paint coating lines, to achieve automatic robot loading and unloading and automatic spraying, the design capacity of 4000 pieces per shift;
