How To Bleed A Hydraulic Cylinder Without Bleeder Valve?

Bleeding a hydraulic cylinder without a bleeder valve can be more challenging, but it is still possible. Here’s a step-by-step guide on how to bleed a hydraulic cylinder without a bleeder valve:

  1. Prepare the Necessary Tools:
    • You will need a wrench or pliers to loosen and tighten hydraulic fittings.
    • Have a container ready to catch any hydraulic fluid that may come out during the bleeding process.
    • Keep rags or absorbent materials nearby to clean up any spills.
  2. Locate the Highest Point:
    • Identify the highest point on the hydraulic cylinder where air bubbles might get trapped.
    • This is typically near the cylinder’s end or at the piston’s top.
  3. Loosen the Fitting:
    • Carefully loosen the hydraulic fitting at the highest point using a wrench or pliers.
    • Loosen it enough to allow air and fluid to escape but not so much that it completely disconnects.
  4. Apply Pressure:
    • Activate the hydraulic system to apply pressure to the cylinder.
    • This can be done by operating the hydraulic pump or using any controls available.
  5. Watch for Air Bubbles:
    • Monitor the hydraulic fitting you loosened for the presence of air bubbles.

    • Once you have bled the cylinder, check for proper operation by activating the hydraulic system.
    • Verify that the cylinder extends and retracts smoothly without unusual noises or vibrations.
  9. Clean Up:
    • Use rags or absorbent materials to clean up hydraulic fluid spills or drips.
    • Dispose of the used hydraulic fluid properly according to local regulations.

The machining shop is equipped with a customized inclined rail turning center, machining center, high-speed honing machine, welding robot, and other related equipment, which can handle the processing of cylinder tubes with a maximum inner diameter of 400mm and a maximum length of 6 meters.

With small and medium-sized cylinder automatic water-based paint coating lines, to achieve automatic robot loading and unloading and automatic spraying, the design capacity of 4000 pieces per shift;
